The 2025 Ploughing Match and Show

The 172nd Annual Ploughing Match and Show

The 2025 ploughing match and show was held at Berkshire College of Agriculture by kind permission of Gillian May, CEO of Windsor Forest Colleges Group. The marquee and associated stands occupied a spectacular location in front of the stunning Hall Place mansion, and the ploughing was on the neighbouring stubble field adjacent to the main drive. Some heavy rain showers during the morning failed to dampen the enthusiasm of around forty tractor ploughmen and two horse teams. The produce show attracted a record entry, including many corn and hay samples, and the dog show was very well supported as usual. We were fortunate to host a visit to the show by the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Mandy Brar, and her husband Harry, who toured the ploughing field and the large variety of trade stands, helping to judge the winners. Funds raised from the event were shared between Thames Hospice and The Thames Valley Adventure Playground.
